Shine

The New Year is the happy prelude to my birthday, and this time period always seems to bring me back to center. As I sat in the car listening to my family chatting and laughing around me, I was deep in thought about how lucky I am to see another year of life surrounded by those I love. So many people run away from birthdays, but I embrace them. Life is our perpetual moment to shine. The time we have is so brief on this little planet of ours, and every day is another chance for us to choose happiness and be true to who we are. Some days it’s easier than others, I will give you that, but if you think about it the final decision is truly ours. Sometimes I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of  how I am suppose to live and what I am suppose to have, it’s so easy with media pounding it into our heads, but what I forget is that life is actually meant to be lived simply and with gratefulness in my heart. This new year of life brings back that message and thus bringing me back to center. Be who you are and live life with the greatest joy and gusto, because when it is all said and done the money and cars and material things won’t be the things that you leave as your legacy, but rather how you lived your life will be.

And of course no post would be complete with at least one little photo. I have so much in store to share with you all it’s slightly ridiculous. 2011 was a beautiful year, and 2012 is promising to be as beautiful.
